Pentucket Math Team

The math team offers opportunities for students to challenge themselves and develop their mathematical reasoning abilities, beyond the usual classroom opportunities. During after-school weekly practices and monthly meets, both held on Wednesdays, math team members meet and work cooperatively with other students who enjoy mathematics. Every month, members must concentrate on attempting to master five new topics. At the monthly meets of the Tri-state mathematics League, which includes high schools from Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, students compete individually and for their school by solving very challenging problems in five areas. The math team is open to 9th though 12th grade students who want to expand their mathematical aptitudes.
