Lunch: chicken parm or eggplant parm

• Jar Wars are back. At all lunches put your change in the jar for your class. The class that raises the most money will win points towards Color Day. All money raised will go to Toys for Tots.
• Basketball players: this week open gyms will be held today and Thursday from 7-9PM at the high school as well as Wednesday from 7-9 at the Middle School.
• There are senior color day meetings today and tomorrow.
• Are you a fan of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight? Ms. Costello has the whole series in the library on a first come, first serve basis.
• Please dismiss the members of the Science Team today at 2PM for their meet in Chelsea.
• Gay Straight Alliance will be having a meeting today after school in Mod 1. It is mandatory. We welcome all newcomers and we do not judge. Please come and bring your friends!
• Congratulations to the PHS Cheerleaders who are moving on to states! Come support them in Lowell this Sunday.
• Class of 2010’s color for next Friday’s monochromatic day is RED! We will be tie-dying red t-shirts Tuesday after school in the courtyard. Please bring $3 and a white t-shirt or $8 to buy a t-shirt on Tuesday.
• Spirit Week begins Friday, Nov. 21st! Be on the lookout for more exciting spirit news!
• Cross-Country runners: Your banquet is this Wednesday at 6PM and your money is due! Please see any of the captains for more information.
• Help support the band buy new uniforms. We are raffling off a homemade quilt. See a band member this week to buy a raffle ticket. $1.00 for one ticket and $5 for six tickets. The winning ticket will be drawn at the winter concert.
• If anyone is interested in auditioning to twirl a color guard flag with the band at the Merrimac Santa Parade, see Mr. Beatrice in the Music Room by Wednesday.
• The 4th Digital Literacy Challenge is now on “What you put on the web stays on the web”. Go to www.archive.org and type in your favorite website in the wayback machine input screen. Choose one of the earliest dates listed to go wayback in time on the internet. To complete the challenge, take a print screen of the site as it was and paste it onto Word or Paint. Save the file and email to lbarlow@prsd.org.
• Yearbook fees will be collected in senior homerooms this week by members of the yearbook staff. The cost of each book is $55. Checks should be made payable to Pentucket High School. This is the only opportunity to purchase a 2009 yearbook.
• For seniors only: There will be a field trip to NECCO on Tuesday Dec. 9th for a presentation and tour of the college. Interested students must sign up in the guidance office and pick up a permission slip. Permission slips, along with $4 for bus transportation must be returned to Mrs. Kohut in guidance before Thanksgiving break.
• Freshmen: come by Mr. Harty’s room on Tuesday, 11/25 after school to decorate t-shirts for our skit day.
• Homecoming is going to be Friday, November 21st at 7:00 PM this year. You can buy your tickets at lunch or from nay student council rep. Tickets are just $10 and it’s a ton of fun!
• Ms. Costello will be offering a Note-taking workshop for students in the library on Thursday, November 20th from 2:20 to 3:00 PM. For more information see Ms. Costello in the library.

• Congratulations to Alanna Poretta and April O’Brien for qualifying for the All-States Cross-Country Championships. Alanna placed third and April placed 8th out of a field of 232 runners at the Eastern Mass Sectional Championships this past Saturday!
• Members of the Science Team are asked to meet with Mrs. Deacon Wednesday at 2:15.
• Yearbook fees will be collected in senior homerooms the week of Nov. 17-21 by members of the yearbook staff. The cost of each book is $55. Checks should be made payable to Pentucket High School. This is the only opportunity to purchase a 2009 yearbook.

• All vocalists planning to audition for the jazz band: You must see Mr. Schumacher before the end of this week to schedule your audition. If you can’t find him, please send an email to his PRSD account.
• Freshmen: Seeking artists and ideas for the Color Day skit. Come to Mr. Harty’s room Wednesday. All freshman are welcome.
• The cheerleaders would like to thank you all for supporting them last night at comps. They placed third and are continuing on to regionals which are Sunday, Nov. 16 at Woburn High School.
• Any girl who would like to sign up for indoor track and missed the signup meeting can sign up with Mr. Derro in room 57.
